On the interventional cardiology front, he has brought new technology, techniques, and new devices to his practice to enhance service to his patients. Of note, he was the first cardiologist in Collin County to deploy a drug-eluting stent in 2003. He is well-equipped and skilled in all kinds of coronary and peripheral intervention. His expertise in peripheral vascular disease includes minimally invasive surgical treatment of carotid artery stenosis, peripheral vascular disease, and abdominal aortic aneurysm endovascular treatment.

On the noninvasive side, he also has state-of-the-art equipment in his office which makes it possible to do a comprehensive cardiac evaluation under one roof. Other services offered in the office include echocardiograms (ultrasound of the heart), stress tests, EKG, and pacemaker analysis. Presently he has a new device called EECP which is meant to treat chronic angina and congestive heart failure.

In 2006 he brought Cardiac Computed Tomography – CT technology in his office. This revolutionary technology is able to perform angiography of the heart which is totally non-invasive and office based. This 64 slice Siemen CT machine also enables the physician to screen for heart attack and the early detection of Coronary Artery Disease.

Dr. Khan is actively involved in clinical research and has been conducting research in his practice since 2002. He established the North Dallas Research Associates. He has done several clinical trials in the past and is currently doing several trials at the McKinney location.
