Welcome to the Cardiac Center of Texas P.A.

We are a team of cardiovascular specialists committed to providing you the most state of the art care in the field of cardiovascular medicine.

Our staff has many years experience and training in cardiac and vascular diseases. We are also dedicated to helping you with prevention of developing these diseases or preventing them from progression.

Cardiac Center of Texas was established in 2003 by Dr. M. Akram Khan. All of your visits and testing are done directly in the office. Lab work is performed in our building at either Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp.

We are pleased to have you in our practice and will dedicate ourselves to providing you with the best of care in a calm and comforting atmosphere. We will educate you about your disease and/or risk for disease so you can be a partner with us in your care. Click here for Services

Our Physician
M. Akram Khan, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Dr. Khan has been practicing cardiovascular medicine in McKinney, Texas since 1997. He completed his cardiology fellowship as well as interventional cardiology fellowship at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified in cardiovascular medicine as well as interventional cardiology.

Alicia Hicks – Office Manager

Alicia has served as the Office Manager of Cardiac Center of Texas since April 2010.  Alicia comes to us with over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry in the areas of radiology, neurology, orthopedics and cardiology.  Prior to joining Cardiac Center of Texas, Alicia served as the Administrator of several outpatient diagnostic imaging centers.  Alicia is supremely patient-driven and guides her team to ensure that each patient receives the utmost in care.  Alicia promotes a strong commitment to individualized treatment and is proud to be a part of a leading team in Cardiology.

Linda Summers, MS PA-C
Kelly Hiltz

Linda Summers, MS PA-C is a native Texan with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.  She comes to us from Parkland Memorial Hospital where she managed a high volume cardiovascular lab and assisted with the medical management of the Cardiac ICU.  Linda has extensive healthcare leadership involvement such as serving on many Boards of Directors and as Committee Chairs at Parkland and for National, State and Political entities.  She is bilingual in Spanish and ensures each patient receives the personalized attention they deserve.


 

Jabeen Shariff – Assistant to Dr. Khan

Jabeen
Jabeen is from Pakistan where she practiced as a medical doctor. She has been with Cardiac Center of Texas since 2000. She assists Dr. Khan directly with your care and is very dedicated to meeting the needs of all our patients. Jabeen is also responsible for scheduling all hospital procedures.

Irfan Ullah – Assistant

Irfan
Irfan is from Pakistan where he practiced as a medical doctor and he is working towards obtaining his final credentials as a physician here in Texas . Irfan assists directly and is very dedicated to meeting the needs of all our patients.

 

Kayla Williams – Front Office

Kayla Williams has been in customer service since 2007 and comes to us from Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, where she was a Patient Service Specialist.  She is currently a student at Collin College and plans to transfer to Texas Women’s University soon.  Kayla is our Patient Coordinator handling the check-in desk as well as appointment scheduling, phones and much more.  Kayla is helpful and friendly and shows a great deal of compassion for our patients.
